We started 9th Sense in August 2011, out of Singularity University at NASA Ames, a program focused on building breaking edge technology that makes the world a better place. Within the first two weeks, we had made our first 9 sales. Currently we have two products in alpha phase, “Telo” and “Helo”, for different market needs. The official product releasing date will be announced soon.

Dan Barry, M.D., Ph.D.

Dan’s background is in electrical engineering and medicine. Along the way he spent some time off the planet. Recently he’s been building robots, both autonomous and remote controlled.

Zhengqin “James” Fan, B.S.

Zhengqin received hisĀ bachelor degree in mechanicsĀ and has 7 years experience in building robots for both health care and research use. He is passionate about social entrepreneurship and technology innovation, and had a great time leading a big student organization before starting 9th Sense.

Alaina Hardie, B.S.

Alaina’s expertise is in programming, security, hosting and networking. She started with the Apple and has been making computers do neat things ever since. Her interests include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, food, affective robotics, and artificial consciousness, not necessarily in that order.
